Community Leadership. One of my superpowers is bringing people together. I grew up in Algeria and Singapore, so have a natural curiosity about different cultures and general love of creating community. This led me to become a Peace Corps Volunteer in South America. I continue to seek out experiences where I can stretch my understanding of the world and make a difference.

School Leadership

A natural leader, I was elected as the Union leader where I organized staff Union negotiations to create consensus, and navigate contractual issues to uphold teachers’ rights. On the Leadership Team, I facilitated and collaborated on staff professional development, focused on creating relational trust. I enjoy organizing my colleagues to unite and move forward together.

Get Out The Vote

In the summer of 2016, I packed up my car and drove across the country to work on the Clinton Campaign in Florida. As a Field Organizer, I managed and trained a coalition of volunteers across Broward County, mobilizing the Haitian, Dominican, and Jamaican communities to Get Out The Vote. Together, we surpassed the win margin by 20,000 votes.

Cuerpo de Paz

In the Peace Corps, I scaled a health curriculum across a network of rural schools in the Altiplano of Bolivia, and supported the Bolivian Education Reform by training teachers to prototype interactive and experiential education strategies. My favorite part? Supporting teachers to integrate art into their curriculum!
