Design: Building off my training as a graphic designer, I am now honing my craft in human centered design. Creative problem solving focused on people and their needs has been core to my career as an educator and organizer. I am now actively building out those methods and mindsets using design thinking.

I truly believe in the power of human centered design to make sustainable change. I have used research, ideation, and prototyping strategies with my students and had the opportunity to attend a d.School workshop in 2015. As a teacher at Rooftop, I was part of the first Leadership Cadre with the SFUSD iLab; our team used design thinking to prototype solutions for technology use on our campus.

With The Teachers Guild at IDEO, I'm honing my design thinking skills while guiding a community of 8000+ teachers from across the United States to build their creative leadership. While I facilitate online design challenges, I am also designing a teacher fellowship program that believes in the power of teacher ideas and leadership to transform education from the ground up.
